Robert Connaughton, MD – Vascular | General Surgery

Dr. Connaughton first served in the US Army as a surgical technician for five years. He then attended the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio, where he received a Bachelor of Science degree in Medical Technology and subsequently his Doctor of Medicine degree. Dr. Connaughton attended his internship and residency at University of Oklahoma where he received his Certificate for General and Peripheral Vascular Surgery, finishing in 1999. he has been in Private practice since then spending 20 years in Denton, and then the last 4 years in Maui. Dr. Connaughton is now returning to the North Texas area to open a practice in Allen, TX.

Dr. Connaughton is board certified by the American Board of Surgery in General Surgery. He is a member of the American College of Surgeons, Texas Medical Association, Oklahoma State Medical Association, and Denton County Medical Association.

He is married to his high school sweetheart, Sally, who is a certified scrub technician and his first assistant in the operating room.

Dr. Connaughton understands that having to undergo surgery is daunting. He believes in providing compassionate, personalized care with a good bedside manner to help those who have to have surgery get through it.
